We are the CBAD II students from Pembroke High School. We have created this campaign to support Peace in our community. Our efforts focus on considering all populations that live in our immediate neighborhood and those in outlying regions. Our group has paired off to represent the voices of different populations within our community. These populations include those vulnerable due to their gender, race, age, religion, ancestry and/or sexual orientation.

 

While we are only high school students, we believe that supporting equality will help with basic human rights for all of our community members. We think its important for everyone to be heard, for biases to be seen clearly for what they are in a judgement free zone and for the talents and skills of individuals to be seen regardless of the appearance of that person. We understand that our supportive community, family, and friends have helped to shape our views of others as well as of ourselves. After reviewing our own biases, we now look to be more open-minded about accepting and honoring the strengths present within our community. We hope you can take time to review our material and make an effort to do the same.
